About the monument :
The main façade of the château is elegant and harmonious and is composed of several wings of which the construction took place from the 15th to the 18th centuries. Set in the buildings of the château, the formal gardens are composed of a surprising topiary of yews giving onto a garden of perennials. The main landscape park, with its century-old trees is the work of the Bühler brothers.
The château Azay-le-Ferron belongs to the town of Tours and is managed by the Brenne Regional Nature Park during summer.
The guided tour of the château will show you magnificent rooms entirely furnished but also the day to day life of the family Luzarche, who owned the château until 1951 and who had organised its property so as to be almost self-sufficient.

A huge park with a landscape garden and a formal garden. Activities and plant maze for children. Set in the buildings of the château, the formal gardens are composed of a surprising topiary of yews giving onto a garden of perennials. The main landscape park, with its centenary trees is the work of the Bûhler brothers. Also to be discovered: the conservatory orchards created from old local species, the collection of old roses and the path of traces. You can come and discover the park on your bike.
