Château, parc et jardins d'Azay-le-Ferron

Magnificent château furnished in the 15th and 18th centuries, nestled in a huge park combining an English landscaped park and a formal garden. Activities and a plant maze for children.
Description
The main façade of the château is elegant and harmonious and is composed of several wings of which the construction took place from the 15th to the 18th centuries. Set in the buildings of the château, the formal gardens are composed of a surprising topiary of yews giving onto a garden of perennials. The main landscape park, with its century-old trees is the work of the Bühler brothers.
The château Azay-le-Ferron belongs to the town of Tours and is managed by the Brenne Regional Nature Park during summer.
The guided tour of the château will show you magnificent rooms entirely furnished but also the day to day life of the family Luzarche, who owned the château until 1951 and who had organised its property so as to be almost self-sufficient.
Also: come and discover the florist’s garden.
