About the monument :
Discover the outsides (main courtyard and terraces) of the castle of Saint-Aignan, seigneurial house (the XVth end, in the beginning of XVIth century) rising on the ruins of the ancient feudal castle the donjon of which remains. Free self visit outsides only.
Also : visit of the city of Saint-Aignan, charming medieval city was able to develop while conserving many of its’ original buildings and monuments. And go all the way to the Collegiate where over 250 capitals demonstrating biblical scenes have been carved. The Collegiate was built on an 11th century crypt and is considered an architectural jewel. It harbors remarkable murals dating from the 12th and 13th century.
