About the monument :
As part of the "Pays d'art et d'histoire" label, La Tuilerie, an architecture and heritage interpretation centre (CIAP), opened its doors in the former Sauvard factory on the banks of the Berry canal in La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois. Its permanent exhibition offers keys to understanding the territory of the Val d'Aubois and its evolution. Its scenography offers a sensitive experience through models, films and sound testimonies divided into six main themes: water, earth, fire, Men, clay and bats, whose colonies gather in large numbers every year on the site
The course of the CIAP is conceived inside and around a Hoffmann kiln of the beginning of the XXth century made up of two parallel galleries of 32 meters length.
