Le Carroi is an art museum located in a 15th century historic building. Inside you can discover the "Cape of Saint Mexme", a very rare 12th century fabric from the East. Two exhibitions, first "Fabulous animals" and the second one celebrates the 600 years of the birth of Louis XI.

In the heart of this historic town, the Maison des Etats Généraux (Vieux Chinon Museum), is a 15th-century building housing a collection of artworks and objects which cast light on the history of the town and the surrounding area, from prehistoric times through to the present day.
