Gîte Thérèse
This gîte welcomes you to the heart of Artenay, a Beauceron village surrounded by the plain.
The village square is just a hundred meters away, with shops, restaurants and craftsmen, and a shopping area on the outskirts.
Artenay is famous for its fairground theater museum, and its stone mill dating from 1851. Its church, Saint Victor, has a bell tower reminiscent of the shape of the tip of a Prussian soldier’s helmet…the surrounding plain was a battleground in the 1870 war.
Agricultural activity is very present here, with grain and beet trading (sugar refinery-distillery).
The town is about 100 km south of Paris and 25 km north of Orléans. It is served by the SNCF railway line, the RN20 and the A10 and A19 motorways, making it easily accessible.
