Visites estivales du Barrage d'Eguzon

The Eguzon dam, located on the Creuse river, was one of the largest in Europe when it was built in 1917. More than 1,000 workers toiled day and night on the site. The Eguzon dam was inaugurated on June 5, 1926. Today, its power station generates electricity for 41,000 people a year, the equivalent of the town of Châteauroux.
