Raoul Taburin is a bike repair specialist. He can troubleshoot the slightest suspicious squeak, thanks to his sharp ear that detects any anomaly. But he hides a secret that haunts him: he doesn't know how to ride a bike himself.
As a child, every time he tried to ride a bike, he immediately fell off, because he couldn?t find his balance. Forty years on, he still feels this incompetence to be a curse. Despite his repeated efforts to get someone to confide in him, a legend took root: Raoul Taburin was a real daredevil on his bicycle, a sort of acrobatic genius, adulated by all. In spite of himself, the imposture takes hold.
