Le rendez-vous "histo" – Body care in the Middle Ages at the Commanderie d'Arville. What if the secrets of beauty in the Middle Ages were revealed to you? A couple of re-enactors from the Aperto Libro company are offering two days dedicated to medieval body care. Through numerous reconstructed objects, you'll explore hygiene practices, the products used (such as eau de toilette) and the appearance of a rare and precious accessory at the end of the Middle Ages: the mirror. Dental care was not forgotten either! Instruments, pharmacopoeial remedies, beliefs and pathologies are presented with rigor and passion.
