Ian Gaukroger returns to JAM for the 3rd time!
Our favorite pianist was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He studied at the Royal College of Music in London, where he won the prestigious Chappell Gold Medal, an honor coveted by all pianists. He then studied at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he won the concerto prize, among others.
After several years in Hong Kong, Ian moved to the Netherlands in 1991, where he plays regularly in chamber music orchestras. He also collaborates with several major orchestras, including the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
