The Orchestre Symphonique Région Centre Val de Loire not only travels extensively throughout the region, but also plays at some of France?s most prestigious venues, including the Cité Internationale des Congrès in Nantes, the Festival de la Côte Saint André and the Théâtre du Châtelet. Based at the Opéra de Tours, the thirty-nine-strong symphony orchestra will open this concert with the famous Toy Symphony by Austro-Hungarian composer Joseph Haydn. Serge Prokofiev?s famous Peter and the Wolf follows. A famous masterpiece known for its instrumental bestiary, popular with all generations.
