Marché gourmand et bal trad

It all starts with an apéro-rencontre at the médiathèque with the Manquab musicians. Then the gourmet market of local produce takes over the square, and you're invited to compose your own dinner of local specialities, seated on the tables provided. The evening continues with a trad dance with the group "Manquab", an atypical trad music group. They can do almost anything… Born out of a desire to blend Afro-Eastern music with Central-Western tunes, the quartet has pushed the envelope as far as South America. Blend of blends, one mirror in another, influence upon influence. African percussion, accordion, bouzouki, cuatro… yes, but alongside bass and electric guitar. Un air du Berry, un air du Poitou….
