"Les papillons"

Every year, Evelyne brings her family together for a meal at her family home in the Berry region of France. Ah, family meals! A mix of pleasure and obligation, habit and novelty, trivialities and revelations, and so often, so much left unsaid. Because what is a family? Blood ties, paths taken, absentees, rituals, conventions, questions, secrets, universes that come together or collide during the reunion that everyone hopes or dreads. This text was written from the testimonies and memories of the 14 actors who perform it. An experiment launched in December 2022 with the aim of staging the show in 5 days, during the 2023 summer workshop at La Croubadour, where it was presented to the public.
