Since 2002, the Festival des Lisztomanias has brought to life Liszt's own project: to create a festival in Châteauroux, with the active complicity of George Sand. Unique in Europe, the festival is a hymn to romantic music.
Under the artistic direction of Jean-Yves Clément, the Festival is dedicated to making Liszt?s work better known. For 5 days, Châteauroux lives to the rhythm of the great composer, with internationally-renowned artists, impromptus concerts, debates, literary concerts, café-concerts by young virtuosos and master classes by the Académie Liszt.
