This is the story of a small 17th-century house that was in danger of falling into ruin. After cleaning, re-roofing and consolidating the gables, it was time to give the house a floor worthy of the name. On the agenda: making and laying cob spindles, an ancient technique which consists of placing wooden spindles in rows, wrapped in a cob mixture, to form floors. Originally, there were more than 500 fusées … a great introduction to an ancient technique!
