Grues cendrées
Sandhill Cranes visit the Brenne twice a year: once during the autumn migration from Scandinavia to southern Europe, and again at the end of winter, when they return to their breeding grounds. Some of these travelers stay in the Brenne all winter. During the day, they feed in the meadows or cornfields that have already been harvested, and in the evening, they gather in dormitories to spend the night. Those taking part in the morning events will see the cranes move from the dormitory to the feeding grounds, while those taking part in the late afternoon events will see them move from the feeding grounds to the dormitory.
