Due to the high level of the Vienne river and the lack of ground stabilization, which means that the safety of the public and the fireworks operators cannot be guaranteed, the fireworks display has been postponed until September 1, to close the weekend of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Chinon and the old-fashioned market. The official ceremony (at 10.15 a.m.) and parade, as well as the popular ball, which has been brought forward to 10.30 p.m. on the Place du Général de Gaulle, will continue.
