Fête des barques

A traditional parade of illuminated boats on the Creuse River: as night falls, a dozen or so boats with subjects created in the greatest secrecy, follow one another, revealing light shows, mechanisms and, each time, treasures of creativity and ingenuity. All set to a soundtrack chosen by the "barquist" teams. This is followed by a magnificent fireworks display from the island and the bridge, to the delight of young and old alike. As an added bonus this year, the Lurais?tivales association is delighted to welcome Darc au Pays for a pre-event concert as part of the itinerant festival program.
