Festival des Petites Heures du Compostelle
The Friday 30 May at 18 a.m00
36310 BEAULIEU
The Festival des Petites Heures du Compostelle is a music festival based around the piano. Chamber music, French chanson, silent films with piano accompaniment.
The festival kicks off with "Rodolphe, chanson française", an intimate piano-voice repertoire offering a melancholy look at the telescope of intimacy and the march of the world. A journey along the foreshore of digital mutations and climate change, between nostalgia for a lost world and hope for a rediscovered childhood.
The second evening, “Les Amitiés”, will be devoted to the incidental music of “Parcours du Combattant”, composed by Alexandre Javaud. It was during this circus show, a great adventure over more than a year, that the friendship between the pianist and the cellist was forged.
The Festival closes with “Ma vache et Moi”, a 1925 film by Buster Keaton.
