Concert by La Quinta Pars in the Eglise de Reuilly: European Renaissance repertoire with Morgan Marquié (lute and direction), Virginie Botty (recorder), André Costa (violin), Haruna Nakaie (viola da gamba) and Lucas Alvarado (viola da gamba).
The "Quinta Pars" is made up of former students of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, experienced and professional musicians from the four corners of the globe – France, Chile, Brazil and Japan.
Their musical program is inspired by the songbooks printed in Paris from 1528 onwards, during the reign of François 1er, taking us on a journey back to the Renaissance. Composers such as Attaignant, Phalèse and Sermisy began by adapting the songs for four and then five voices, played by different instruments, before composing purely instrumental pieces and dance music.
