From the roar of the earth to the song of the birds, Echophone transports us into a spellbinding world of sound, through a voyage of initiation akin to wave magic.
Echophone, digression d'un baryton" is a musical piece for amplified baritone saxophone, electro-acoustic chamber music at the crossroads of contemporary and digital music: a 360° sonic journey in complete immersion in sound and light.
In a clearing of eight loudspeakers used as instruments in their own right, the musician, both soloist and conductor, dialogues with his own echo. In this circular space, a 3D sound sculpture is built around each spectator.
