These animals are formidable indicators of the quality of biodiversity in our environment, both in terms of their trophic position – as predators of rodents or insects – and their use of space. They are not very mobile and are strongly linked to specific biotopes. What's more, they are in steep decline. Understanding them and taking them into account is a crucial factor in human-nature interactions and the fight against biodiversity erosion. This course is designed to help you discover them. Targeted skills: be able to identify species life cycles (adults, juveniles, larvae and egg-layers) and understand their ecology, be able to carry out a survey or inventory, understand regulations and species protection.
