Staying in a château-hotel of the Val de Loire

Enjoy the Loire Valley and its riches to the full by staying in a château-hôtel! These ideally situated and enchanting homes are lived in by owners offering a warm welcome to their guests. You will find all you need to loose yourself in the atmosphere of life in a castle!

Just a short step from the Loire Valley's emblematic towns

In the area surrounding Angers there are a large number of châteaux-hôtels waiting to welcome guests to their historic estates. For instance, come and enjoy the large terrace at the Château of Noirieux, on the banks of the Loire. Its manor and park seem to have been untouched by time!

Alternatively you could stay at Château of Les Briottières, where authentic bedrooms await you with period furniture and four-poster beds. The old orangerie has been refurbished and turned into a charming and pleasant home.

Near Cholet, south of Angers, Château Colbert stands proudly at the edge of the Parc de Maulévrier, the largest Japanese-style garden in Europe. This 17th century house offers some lovely spacious rooms.

The five-star Château of Verrières hotel is located in a two-hectare park in the heart of Saumur. It is ideally located for strolling through the town's pedestrian streets admiring the tuffeau stone houses and visiting the Cadre Noir.

Not far from Tours, you can stay at the Domain of la Tortinière, in its château and antique lodges. This elegant Second Empire residence is located in a large park sloping down to the Indre.

Near the châteaux of the Loire

At Briare, the Domain of les Roches welcomes guests in the rooms of a 19th century town house and charming cottages. The period mosaics are a reminder to visitors that the monument was built and lived in by the family that founded the famous Emaux de Briare factory.

Near the Château of Cheverny, you can instead choose to stay within the refined four-star hotels of the Château of Le Breuil. Or, a few kilometres away, there are nine large rooms available at the Manoir of Contres, built in 1818 and situated on a large estate.

Not far from Amboise and its royal château, let yourself be tempted by the Château of La Bourdaisière. Decorated with fabrics by famous manufacturers, its rooms bear the name of a person from the history of the Touraine region or the castle itself. Here you can also discover the Conservatoire national de la tomate (National tomato conservatory) and enjoy a wide range of flavours in the restaurant or Bar à tomates.

Finally, near Chinon and its Royal Fortress, the Château of Marçay is a 15th century fortress ready to welcome you to its four-star hotel. Here, you can dine in the restaurant and visit the estate's vineyard and truffle orchards.
