The Tour de France passes through the Loire Valley

The famous bike race will start in the west of France on 7th July this year.
 
Two stages will cross the Loire Valley, from the Atlantic coast to Cholet, providing a perfect opportunity to (re)discover the dynamic local character, with protected cycle routes that are much-loved by cycle tourists, châteaux and famous locations, unspoilt nature sites and more.
A wealth of heritage, deep-rooted culture and a diversity of local produce... The Loire Valley is bursting with vitality!
 
The Tour de France 2018 route from Cholet to the Loire estuary
  • Monday 9 July, stage 3: Cholet > Cholet, 35 km (team time-trial)
  • Tuesday 10 July, stage 4: departure from La Baule > Sarzeau
