The Loire Valley gives the A with its music festivals

A number of festivals will be springing up in every corner of the Loire Valley throughout summer. Electro, pop, reggae, alternative, rock, rap, country, jazz, theatre, street entertainment, digital arts… There’s something for every taste!

Sully et du Loiret festival, from 24 May to 17 June
The Sully et du Loiret festival will be celebrating music once again. 17 heritage sites in Le Loiret will be ringing out with the sound of concerts during the 45th edition of this festival, with classical, jazz, film and Baroque music!

La Nuit de l’Erdre, from 29 June to 01 July in Nord-sur-Erdre
For its 20th anniversary, this festival will be showcasing major headliners such as Shaka Ponk, Vianney, Justice, Orelsan, Asaf Avidan, Petit biscuit and Cœur de Pirate as well as up-and-coming acts such as Solar Project who are sure to get your feet tapping!

Jazz’in Cheverny, from 28 June to 1st July
There’s a jazzy air drifting through the Château of Cheverny... This year, Jazz’in Cheverny will be welcoming the likes of Mélody Gardot, Stanley Clarke, Sylvain Rifflet and Jean-Christophe Cholet. Let them transport you into their musical world in the stunning setting of the Château of Cheverny.
Avoine Zone Groove, from 29 June to 1 July,
Avoine Zone Groove is back for another year! Rag’N’Bone Man, Brigitte, Claudio Cappeo, Slim Paul and many other artists will be performing on the open-air stage for another Groove-filled festival!
Chambord festival, from 30 June to 14 July
The 8thChambord festival will offer twelve exceptional evenings dedicated to music. International artists and groups as well as new talent will be playing in the majestic setting of the Château of Chambord in the courtyard, chapel and French formal gardens.

Saveurs Jazz Festival, from 05 to 09 July in Segré-en-Anjou-bleu
A panoply of international and new artists will be taking to the stage at this festival, with Selah Sue, Festen, Sandra Nkaké, Kyle Eastwood Stet, Morcheeba, Sarah Mc Coy and plenty of others for 5 jazz-filled days!
Terres du Son at the Domain of Candé, on 6, 7 and 8 July
Visit the Domain of Candé near Tours in early July and discover 50 or so concerts with performances by the likes of Fakear, Juliette Armanet, Gregory Porter and Amadou & Mariam. Terres du Son is also an eco-festival that aims to increase awareness about sustainable development among festival-goers and harmonise music and respect for the environment.

Cocorico Electro at the Château of La Ferté Saint-Aubin, 14 July
On 14 July, for the second year running, the Château of La Ferté Saint-Aubin will be hosting the Cocorico Electro festival. This 100% French DJ electro night will showcase mixes by Feder, JLow, Odyssey and others. Nine hours of music for dancing on the 6,000m² dance floor with the added bonus of a firework display!
Les Escales, from 27 to 29 July in Saint Nazaire
This famous contemporary music festival once again boasts a varied line-up featuring well-known and up-and-coming acts such as Feder, Beth Dito, Eddy de Pretto, Etienne Daho, Ofenback, Bigflo & Oli, Her and Kokoko.
Couvre Feu, from 23 to 26 August in Frossay
A real artistic springboard for the curious-minded who want to sample current music and theatre performances! Matmatah, Cut Killer, Suprême NTM, Dïe Morg, La Jacqu’otte, Couac and Les Loups Garous de Thiercelieux will be sure to keep you entertained!

The City Truck Festival, from 31 August to 02 September in La Pommeraye
This festival will celebrate trucks and feature a line-up to rival the biggest festivals, with Rag’n’Bone Man, Ofenback, Feder, Shaka Ponk, Kyo, BigFlo & Oli, Arcadian and Hollystic.
Les Accroches-Cœurs, from 07 to 09 September in Angers
This festival dedicated to the rich variety of street arts and theatre is the highlight of the year in Angers. What’s more, it’s totally free! Professional and amateur troupes will be taking over the city centre to the greatest delight of spectators!
Jazz en Touraine festival in Montlouis-sur-Loire, from 13 to 23 September
Jazz en Touraine is back in Montlouis-sur-Loire for ten swinging days of jazz. With over 50 concerts, this year’s festival will be welcoming international headliners such as Mory Kante, Richard Galliano Quartet and Grupo Compay Segundo, as well as smaller acts well worth discovering.

Scopitone, from 19 to 23 September in Nantes
This festival of electronic culture will be taking place in several emblematic venues in Nantes. With digital arts exhibitions, multimedia shows, concerts, conferences, workshops, cinema-concerts and more, immerse yourself in the world of digital technology!
