Not to be missed: behind the scenes in the Cadre Noir

The Cadre Noir is a prestigious school whose mission is to transmit its exceptional skills and knowledge. It also opens its doors to the general public, enabling them to discover its work and passion through visits and demonstrations.

The Cadre Noir opens its doors to visitors to allow them to discover the school’s exceptional facilities, which include 300 hectares of land, 50 km of track, 16 schools, 7 arenas and 400 horses! Visit the grand arena to watch the equerries long-reining and see training methods, jumping and dressage sessions. The finest spectacles are the croupades, courbettes and cabrioles for which the school is renowned. The visit continues with a unique moment spent with the horses in the stables followed by a trip to the grand saddlery which houses, among other things, the gala harnesses. The Cadre Noir also offers fun activities for families. Children from 7 to 12 years can embark on an “investigation in the Cadre Noir”, in which they must solve riddles to retrace the day of a gala horse.
The Cadre Noir regularly holds galas with pitch-perfect displays that demonstrate all the horse riding expertise of the French tradition. From behind-the-scenes to centre-stage experiences, the Cadre Noir transmits its knowledge with the greatest respect for the animals it works with and in complete complicity with them.
