Château of Brissac: a new walk

As part of the “Loire Valley Gardens” cultural season, the Château of Brissac is inaugurating a new walk through its park. Come and discover a poetic walk that brings water features to the fore.

The new walk at the Château of Brissac reveals a fun and poetic surprise by inviting visitors to cross over a manmade rocky waterfall in the park’s river. The footbridge allows walkers to admire views of the château and its reflection from either side of the water, which itself plays an important role in this landscaped park boasting islands and manmade waterfalls with different viewpoints across the estate. This waterfall has been dedicated to the famous composer Franz Liszt in tribute to the Hungarian origins of the lady of the house, Marquise Larissa Széchényi, and the multiple pieces of piano music written by Liszt on the theme of water.
