Châteauroux throughout the year
Châteauroux, a green and romantic city, has a wealth of hidden heritage. This medieval centre is home to Château-Raoul, which over time gave the city its name. The château towers above the remains of the ramparts which once surrounded the city.
The Couvent des Cordeliers, with its fifty-metre long nave, and the Bertrand museum (which is housed in a mansion) are also places you should visit during your stay.
The Écoparc des Chenevières-Déols, the Saint-Gildas meadow and the Ebbes valley, a green corridor running for around ten kilometres along the Indre river, all pass through the city and are havens for plants and wildlife.
In Châteauroux, the countryside comes right into the city itself!
