A trip to the Christmas village
Wander around the twenty or so little wooden chalets in the Place du Château. Here, you will find gourmet delights and handcrafted creations to place under the Christmas tree – they will be sure to impress. And, who knows? Perhaps the children will find a special letter box for Father Christmas where they can post their list of wishes!
“MAGIE-STRAL” Christmas at Château Royal de Blois
This Christmas, come and experience a magical, colourful world at the Château Royal de Blois. The Eness exhibition, produced by the renowned Australian art and technology company, features inflated, illuminated installations. They create a joyful world and lead you to the ‘Modern Guru’, an imaginary character who invites you to reflect on happiness.
Meet Father Christmas
This just has to be done! The festivities would not be the same without the long-awaited meeting with Father Christmas. This is a magical moment which your children will be looking forward to.
Blois throughout the year
Blois, a City of Art and History, has played a key role in the history of France. Take a stroll through its picturesque streets and lively centre to discover all its treasures. A slice of its rich heritage is around every corner. Cross the Jacques-Gabriel bridge to admire the city from the opposite bank and enjoy a great view of its architecture.
The Château Royal de Blois, which has been home to seven kings and ten queens of France, is a perfect blend of Gothic, Renaissance and classical styles. Wander through its rooms and uncover fascinating tales full of history. In fine weather, you can watch the incredible sound and light show from the courtyard illuminating the façades!
Abracadabra! The Maison de la Magie, located opposite the château, invites you into a world of illusion and conjuring. On a completely different note, the Fondation du Doute is dedicated to contemporary art. Here, you can explore the limits of thought and question reality through a series of amazing exhibitions.
And last but not least, there is the Escalier Denis Papin. With its 120 steps, it links the upper and lower parts of the city and is often transformed with temporary decorations to create a life-size piece of art!
