Itinerary details
Description
Linear itinerary (plan a round trip or follow circuit no. 6 for the return trip) offering a real geological, landscape, naturalist and historical interest. The Creuse valley between Tournon-Saint-Martin and Le Blanc is characterised by the limestone cliffs that dominate the course of the river. The itinerary follows the Creuse river before joining (small hill) the limestone plateau and its orchid-filled lawns. The Bois de Roches Nature Reserve particularly illustrates these environments with a southern atmosphere (magnificent view of the valley). The path follows the shady route of an old railway line now known as the Voie Verte before reaching Le Blanc via a route bordered by farmland dotted with orchards.
