Description
"Dun is a name of Celtic origin meaning ?elevation,
promontory, hill, fortified place? Situated between the Auron
and the Canal de Berry, this former royal stronghold, once known as Dunle-
Roi, bears witness to its rich past, with medieval ramparts
its medieval ramparts, collegiate church and 16th-century belfry. A museum
of the Canal de Berry recalls the activities of the bargemen
and the life that once animated this Canal.”
