This beautiful church has a simple design: single, solid nave, looking out over the transept through classic Berry crossovers, with the crossing covered with a mounted octagonal dome, crosspieces with a pointed apse chapel joined to the choir by secretaria (spaces in a quarter of a circle acting as sacristies), vaulted apse in a semi-dome: all characteristics of the Romanesque churches in Berry. The charm of this church is above all evident in the transept crossing capitals where we recognise in particular the sacrifice of Abraham (representing the old law) and Christ giving the keys to St. Peter, symbol of his authority as pontiff and to St. Paul the phylactery, expressing the Ministry of the Word (representing the new law).
