Accueil Eglise Saint-Denis de Rivarennes
The Saint-Denis church is listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments. It is a 12th-century church.
Description
It was originally composed of a nave with three bays, followed by a transept where each crosspiece led to a semicircular apse chapel. A rectangular chapel, the St. Denis Chapel, dating from the 15th or 16th century replaces the south crosspiece. The choir is covered with a roof with four flaps ending in a spire and descending by flaring out into the walls of the choir they cover. Finally, the bell tower houses two bronze bells, one of which is classified under movable objects (1944).
