Accueil Ancienne Eglise Notre Dame
The old Notre Dame church is disused – it has a bell tower made entirely of stone. Eleventh-century side porch, restored in spring 2009. Nave with five 12th and 15th century bays, one with a cornerstone dating from 1441. Romanesque carved portal, solid bell tower with geminated bays.
Description
This old church will charm the visitor by its distinction and the quality of its sculpture, especially on the south portal with eight arch mouldings that include a representation of the Elders of the Apocalypse with their musical instruments, and various 12th century floral or geometric motifs, such as the three bays of the single nave. The bell tower will be built at the end of the same century and crowned with the beautiful stone spire.
