2 rue Descente des Cordeliers 36000 CHATEAUROUX
The Musée Bertrand presents a guided tour of its exhibition Jean-Jacques Henner (1829-1905), "Toujours Ardent", as well as a tasting of Alsace wines.
From December 7, 2024 to May 4, 2025, the Musée Bertrand in Châteauroux will host works from the Musée National Jean-Jacques Henner as part of a temporary exhibition. The exhibition will be divided into three sections, introduced by an immersion into the intimacy of the master?s studio.
Visitors will be able to contemplate the creative impetus aroused in the young artist by the discovery of Italy, followed by his brilliant career as a portraitist, which enabled him to achieve his first notoriety, and finally his commitment to historical events and the affirmation of his style through history painting. It is in this last section that the famous red-headed figures, emblematic of the painter of the “fauve golds”, will be presented.

In collaboration with “Le Conseil” wine bar.
