A tribute to General Bertrand, where you can discover his life through the monuments of Châteauroux where he was born and died.
The Châteauroux Tourist Office and the Bertrand Museum are joining forces to offer you a two-voice tour dedicated to the man who was one of Emperor Napoleon I?s closest companions. From Château Raoul, where Henri-Gatien Bertrand was born in 1773, to his private mansion, now transformed into a museum, where he died in 1844, meet a man who remains the Castelroussin symbol of the imperial legend.
