The Théâtre Maurice Sand association hosts "Bérénice" in La Châtre.
Titus loves Berenice, and all would be well if Roman law didn't forbid him to marry a foreign queen. Then his faithful friend Antiochus gets involved. Presented in this way, Racine?s tragedy verges on the burlesque, which is Anne-Gaëlle Jourdain?s intention in creating a modern-day Berenice. Anne-Gaëlle Jourdain has based her company in La Châtre. It is therefore only logical that the Théâtre Maurice Sand should welcome her new creation, after a reading in May 2022 and a residency in September 2023.
