A letter to all those who have followed me faithfully for 50 years. I know that I've been part of your family for half a century, and that during all those years I've been like a good buddy you like to get together with for a laugh and a good evening. I've had some wonderful laughs with you myself, but now I'm going to take a well-deserved rest! Your presence by my side throughout my career has carried me through life like a child! I've played in every town in France, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec and the United States… what a privilege to spend one's life "playing"! I know I owe this happiness to you, and I thank you most sincerely for it, but I'm going to make way for the youngsters!
