Les Rencontres de Jaugette sets the 1st date of the year with the famous opera "Lakmé".
Lakmé is an opera in three acts by Léo Delibes, with a French libretto by Edmond Gondinet and Philippe Gille, based on Pierre Loti's novel Rarahu ou le Mariage de Loti, and inspired by the travel stories of Théodore Pavie, premiered on April 14, 1883 at the Opéra-Comique in Paris. With the Centre d'Art Lyrique de Méditerranée.
