Les oiseaux hivernants de la Réserve de Chérine

Observation of a large variety of ducks and waders during the winter, season during which they leave the polar circle to stay in Brenne.
When the Siberian anticyclone blows the cold, the northern birds leave the polar circle to migrate further south and stay in Brenne. Winter is therefore a good season to discover migratory or wintering species, some take advantage of mudflats, which appear at the rhythm of pond fishing and probe the mud in search of small prey, others harpoon a few fish asleep by the cold. We invite you to learn more about these birds, their migration, their way of life in the National Nature Reserve of Chérine.
