Les 68e et 268e régiments d'infanterie dans la Grande Guerre

The Thursday 13 March at 18 a.m00
Rue Pasteur 36300 LE BLANC
Conference on local history by Benoit Kremer, translator and conference interpreter, former lecturer at the University of Geneva, member of the Académie du Centre. Under the aegis of the Friends of Le Blanc and its region.
Aristocrat, writer and traveler, Jules de Vorys was a great lover of art and beautiful women. An atypical character whose iron health and regular hunting and swimming enabled him to reach an advanced age, he lived through his era with charm, elegance and causticity. But what kind of man was he? His abundant unpublished correspondence lifts part of the veil, revealing a personality that was by turns annoying and endearing, proud and light-hearted, haughty and warm-hearted, serious and playful. And above all, almost 100 years after his death, it allows us to draw astonishing parallels between his preoccupations and our own.
Conference on the theme of local history by Benoit Kremer, organized by Les Amis du Blanc et de sa région.
