L'église romane Saint-Nicolas de Beaulieu

The 12th century Romanesque edifice was redesigned after its semi-destruction (nave and south arm of the transept) by the Black Prince in 1356. A magnificent 18th century altarpiece, probably commissioned by the Augustinian monks of Benevento, has been replaced in the north arm to show, in the choir, 13th and then 14th century mural paintings of original and beautiful iconography.
