La Pisciculture Retaud

Louis Retaud took over the family business in 2020. As a child, he bathed around the 17 ponds hosting different species of fish such as zander and carp. He will show us the work of a fish farm, according to the seasons, the breeding of the carp, from the larva to the adult fish before being transformed into net or rillettes for the consumption. A tasting of local products will close the visit.
Since December 2021, the traditional fish farming of Brenne is included in the Intangible Cultural Heritage in France under the aegis of UNESO.
