An unusual visit to La Cressonnière in Courçay!
Our organic cress is produced in the commune of Courçay in Indre et Loire, 23 kms from Tours, between Reignac and Cormery, on the locality of Fontaine Archer, a place historically linked to cress for some sixty years, in a 16a area of greenery and biodiversity.
The cress ponds are fed by 4 natural underground springs.
We took over the cress farm in August 2016 and I set up as a cress grower in January 2017.
It’s very important for us to revive this forgotten vegetable, a gastronomic heritage of our territory, and to make it rediscovered by as many people as possible, in a short, local circuit.
