"Adriaan Diedericks?s sculpture is the madness of men: an Ubuesque epic of perpetual quest. The sails on the boats, the horses running and the strength of the man can be read as an allegory of the conqueror. But by searching too hard, man loses his humanity. He becomes a wooden monster, a pierced giant. Suffering invites itself and the journey is tumultuous
