Exposition "Dauvergne" au musée de la Chemiserie et de l'élégance masculine

In 2024, we celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Alfred Dauvergne, the departmental architect who, with his two sons Henry and Louis, worked on almost the entire Indre department, working on both public and private projects, from the Saint-André church in Châteauroux to the Château de Lancosme in Vend?uvres, the sous-préfecture in Le Blanc and the courthouse in La Châtre. In all, 1300 Indre buildings bear the Dauvergne signature.
This “Dauvergne Year” provides a fitting backdrop for presenting the breadth of the architectural heritage bequeathed by this family to the people of Indre.
