Sécyl Gilet?s photographs capture the harmony and underline the harshness of this land. They express the emotions of those involved in the upheaval of rural life, a community she accompanied with Bruno Mascle for 24 months and 8 seasons.
Sculpted by man for centuries, these steep landscapes, interlaced with meadows and hedgerows, are located in southern Berry, between Indre and Creuse. This land, long devoted to livestock farming and once thought to be unchanging, is now undergoing radical change. An upheaval as great as it is silent, experienced with concern by the farmers.
