Conférence – "Si le barrage d'Eguzon m'était conté "

The Wednesday 18 December
Rue de la Grenouille 36200 ARGENTON-SUR-CREUSE
The Université Populaire d'Argenton-sur-Creuse is organizing a conference on the theme: "The European Cistude, an endangered species", by Frédéric Beau, Doctor of Environmental, Population and Ecological Biology.
In charge of conservation biology.
The European pond terrapin is one of two freshwater turtles naturally present in mainland France.
Widespread in the past, it has now disappeared from many regions. The Indre region, in and around the Brenne, has a special place in the preservation and understanding of this heritage species.
We’ll be looking at its biology and ecology, but also at the causes of its rarefaction and the actions taken to preserve it. Of course, the link with the world of science, and in particular the work of Raymond Rollinat, will also be discussed.
