Balade nature sur les prairies des Chènevières

On Sunday May 12, the Conservatoire d?espaces naturels Centre-Val de Loire is offering a nature walk entitled "Recognizing edible plants" in the heart of the Prairies des Chènevières, in the commune of Déols.
In the heart of the Castelroussine urban area, at the confluence of the Indre and Ringoire rivers, the Prairies des Chènevières form a marsh occupied by a beautiful megaphorbia. Abandoned in the early 1990s, degraded and polluted by illegal dumping, they have now been restored to their natural state thanks to permanent horse grazing. Today, the site is home to a number of remarkable plant and animal species. Of the 13 ha of meadows, 7 ha are under a management agreement with the Commune de Déols and 6 hectares are owned by the Conservatoire. Enjoy nature!
With spring, the plants are back and their flowers are blooming. In the company of Gisèle, the site’s volunteer Conservator, come and learn how to recognize the plants found in the heart of the meadows, and discover which ones are edible
